【摘要】:Thisflashpointtestmethodisadynamicmethodanddependsondefiniteratesoftemperatureincrease.Itisoneofthemanyflashpointtestmethodsavailable,andeveryflashpointtestmethod,includingthisone,isanempiricalmethod.Note1Flashpointvaluesarenotaconstantphysical-chemicalpropertyofmaterialstested.Theyareafunctionoftheapparatusdesign,theconditionoftheapparatusused,andtheoperationalprocedurecarriedout.Flashpointcanthereforeonlybedefinedintermsofastandardtestmethod,andnogeneralvalidcorrelationcanbeguaranteedbetweenresultsobtainedbydifferenttestmethodsorwithtestapparatusdifferentfromthatspecified.Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheflashpointoffueloils,lubeoils,solvents,andotherliquidsbyacontinuouslyclosedcuptester.Themeasurementismadeonatestspecimenof1mL.Thistestmethodutilizesaclosedbutunsealedcupwithairinjectedintothetestchamber.Thistestmethodissuitablefortestingsampleswithaflashpointfrom10to250C.Note2Flashpointdeterminationsbelow10?Candabove250?Ccanbeperformed;however,theprecisionhasnotbeendeterminedbelowandabovethesetemperatures.Iftheuser'sspecificationrequiresadefinedflashpointmethodotherthanthistestmethod,neitherthistestmethodnoranyothermethodshouldbesubstitutedfortheprescribedmethodwithoutobtainingcomparativedataandanagreementfromthespecifier.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.TemperaturesareindegreeCelsius,andpressureisinkilo-pascals.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificwarningstatementsappearthroughoutthestandard.
