【摘要】:ThisTechnicalReportdescribesthestepsnecessarytospecify,touseandtoanalyse24fullfactorialdesignsthroughillustration,withfivedistinctapplicationsofthismethodology.Dependingontheapplication,anumberoffactorsotherthanfourmaybeconsideredintheexperiment.NOTE1Eachofthesefiveillustrationsissimilarinthatsufficientresourceswereavailabletoimplementthedesign.Othercommonalitiesamongthefiveexamplesarenoted(e.g.studyobjective,twolevelsforfactors,responsevariable(s),factorseffectingtheresponse).Theindividualillustrationshavesomesalientfeaturesthataredistinctsuchaspresence/absenceofrepetitions,centrepoints,interactions,ordifferenttypesofresponsevariables.Eachillustrationtakesplaceinadifferentenvironmentsuchasmarketing,software,manufacturing,telecommunicationsandchemicalprocessing.NOTE2ForthepurposesofthisTechnicalReport,theselectionoffourfactorswithtwolevels(asidefromcentrepoints)wasmadeinadvance.Furthermore,thedetaileduseofresponsesurfacedesignsasafollow-uporaugmentationoftheexistingdesignswasexcludedfromthisTechnicalReport,althoughtheiruseisnotedinsomeoftheillustrations.Likewise,Taguchidesignsandblockingdesignswerenotincluded.NOTE3Fullfactorialexperimentsareoftenemployedbyindividuals(so-called“blackbelts”or“greenbelts”)associatedwithSixSigmamethods.SixSigmamethodsareconcernedwithproblemsolvingandcontinuousimprovement.AfullfactorialexperimentwithfourfactorsisoneofmanytoolsavailabletoSixSigmapractitioners,buthithertohasnotbeenaddressedindetailinISOInternationalStandards.
