【摘要】:1.1ThispracticecoversgeneralrecommendationsforphotoelectricphotometersandspectrophotometersandforphotometricpracticeprescribedinASTMmethodsforchemicalanalysisofmetals,sufficienttosupplementadequatelytheASTMmethods.Asummaryofthefundamentaltheoryandpracticeofphotometryisgiven.Noattempthasbeenmade,however,toincludeinthispracticeadescriptionofeveryapparatusortopresentrecommendationsoneverydetailofpracticeinASTMphotometricorspectrophotometricmethodsofchemicalanalysisofmetals.1.2TheserecommendationsareintendedtoapplytotheASTMphotometricandspectrophotometricmethodsforchemicalanalysisofmetalswhensuchstandardsmakedefinitereferencetothispractice,ascoveredinSection4.1.3Inthispractice,theterms"photometric"and"photometry"encompassbothfilterphotometersandspectrophotometers,while"spectrophotometry"isreservedforspectrophotometersalone.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
