【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardgivesgeneralrequirementsregardingconstructionandperformanceformagneticcompasses,binnaclesandazimuthreadingdevices,classA.Accordingtothedesignoftheship,twotypesofbinnaclearespecified.ThisInternationalStandardappliestoliquid-filledmagneticcompasses:—intendedforseanavigationaccordingtoregulationsinforce;—havingadirectreadingsystem;—whichmaybeofthereflecting,projectingortransmittingtypes.InthecontextofthisInternationalStandard,amagneticcompassisaninstrumentconsistingofadirectionalsystemsupportedbyasinglepivotinsideabowlwhichiscompletelyfilledwithliquid,andwhichissupportedingimbalsinsideoroutsidethebowl.CompasseswithoutgimbalsarealsocoveredbythisInternationalStandard.Therequirementsrelatingtogimbalsdonotapplytosuchcompasses.ThisInternationalStandarddoesnotapplyto:a)drycardcompasses;b)typesofcompassdesignedonprinciplesdifferentfromthosestatedaboveornotcomplyingwiththedescriptionsgiven.
