【摘要】:Lowtemperaturesareoftenneededforconditioningofrubberpriortotesting,aswellasduringthetest.Conditioningisrequiredtoattainaspecifictemperaturethatisuniformthroughoutthespecimenorforproducingtime-dependenteffects.Specimensmaybeconditionedandtestedinthesameordifferentchambers.Thispracticeisintendedtoapplyparticularly,butnotexclusively,tothefollowingASTMStandards:TestMethodsD746,D945,D1053,D1229,D1329,D1415,D2136,D2137,D2240,D2632,PracticeD832,andSpecificationE197.1.1Thispracticecoversthegeneralrequirementsforachievingandmaintainingtemperaturesbelow21176;Cforthermalconditioningandphysicaltestingofrubber.1.2Thispracticedescribestheacceptabletypesandconstructionoflow-temperaturecabinetsforconditioningandtestingofrubber,thecompositionandcirculationofheat-transfermedia,andtherequireduniformityandprecisionoftemperaturecontrol.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
